I have very vivid visual & sensory memories as Pokemon Masters Maxie

I remember the streets of Pasio, the crisp air at night, the smell of the seaside

+ I remember adoring it all, the fact an artifical island could exist, and the city could be so beautiful. The feeling of my clothes, the sounds of the bricks under my shoes

Plus how many people I cared about there. Courtney, Tabitha, Archie, Cyrus, Clavell, Rose, Brendan, Paulo, they all were special to me. I loved being on Pasio, I loved running Team Magma, and I loved teaching at the academy

I miss it more than I miss Hoenn, oddly

Can be seen as a vent? I'm placing this here, since my feelings are heavily related to my fictotype. Pokémon ORAS Cartridges have been known to randomly die or have issues that cause them to stop functioning, and I own a physical copy of Omega Ruby (my media) that I have played for 9 years now. It serves as a way for me to regulate myself, and to remain connected to something familiar. No matter how things may appear now, I still have something that mirrors home. While I do have the ability to backup my save file, and bring it over to a new copy via homebrew, it still geniunely scares me that there's a chance the cartridge could fail soon, if that doesn't seem irrational. I feel like a lot of people only see it as mildly disappointing, but for me, it's something that geniunely distresses me. It can be a bit alienating, with most discussing the cartridge failure as an annoyance, but it is geniunely my worst nightmare. It would take me months to get over, it's my connection to who I was. I noticed my copy is booting up slower than it used to, which is a large cause of these worries surfacing. I do not want to lose it.

I often think about Archie. I know I acted rather pridefully, and I detested his ideals, but I never hated him. We disagreed, but he was my dearest friend first and foremost. My ideal world always included him. To fight with him, for what we stand for, I wrongly deemed a must.

When we had met, he had made my struggles even just slightly easier to bare. I hope his were as well. I hope he never feels lonely.
