Metallurg Novokuznetsk’s Maxim Kitsyn, who yesterday broke one VHL regular-season scoring record and tied another. Kitsyn’s 33rd goal of 2019-20 put him one ahead of the total amassed by Lada’s Alexander Timiryov last season, and gave him 61 points, tying him with Timiryov (again, last season) and with Alexander Shibayev (Dynamo Balashikha, 2012-13) for the most in one campaign. A Tale of Two Games
We’ve been looking forward to seeinig the Allen Americans come to town for quite awhile. They currently lead the league in points, but mostly play in the Central Division where the nearest competitor is 18 points behind them. They did one swing through the Northern Division with mixed results. We figured it would be a good ‘measuring stick’ game.
