Hello everyone! Shoutout to my Tudor friends I celebrated my 33rd Birthday this week and was able to get a Tudor Rose birthday cake from the Safeway grocery store near my house. They weren't able to put faces on it but were able to make the Tudor rose and vines on the white frosting. The cake itself was chocolate. It was quite delicious.

Sure, they are. They want Mary to be Elizabeth so badly. They can't forgive that it was Elizabeth who lived and ruled for 44 years, and not their idol.
that’s basically it isn’t it? so much of the mary worship is what might have happened with her not what actually did, if she was queen of france longer, if she had ruled scotlabnd longer, IF she was queen of england, then we would all have seen how amazing she was compared to whichever queen who ruled longer than her
Any thoughts on this? Normally, I like Estelle's videos but this one disappointed me. I don't think Edward would've been a tyrant had he lived to adulthood. She goes into a lot of speculation here without considering the actual facts of how Edward reigned when he was alive. I have a theory that the reason so many historians, Tracy Borman is another one that comes to mind, insist Edward would've been a tyrant and than insist in the same breathe that Mary wasn't one is because of their gender differences. Mary's reputation has to be reconsidered because she was a woman but apparently slandering Edward's reputation is okay?

And speaking about betrayal why not to mention how Mary betrayed Scotland by signing it away to the French crown. Also the most important relationship of their lives was NOT "that which they had with one another". They weren't that close to be driven apart to begin with. They never met, and Elizabeth considering Mary's claims never trusted her, let alone loved her,and Mary's stance towards Elizabeth was pretty duplicitous too.
truly, like scotland did not want her and that was mary’s doing by her poor choices, and coming to england put elizabeth in a very tense situation which mary didn’t seem to understand, she went to a country that was protestant and ruled by a monarch she had never met and had made claims towards her throne, mary was largely responsible for her own undoing imo

oh okay cool i’ll take a look at that, but i think catherine is saying she is not being treated rightly as queen of england, which is her right to think that as she did not recognize her demoted status, so we can’t say that she’s really ‘wrong’ exactly because from that point of view she IS being mistreated, also i believe the biggest wrong henry did to her was cutting her off from her friends and daughter that is being mistreated and i think also directly linked to her quick decline, and that is true he did do that to her

I wonder if Blood and Cheese will be near the beginning of the first season. Either way should be an intense season.
