New ASOIAF OC Introductions - House Umbrapis
Okay so this has devolved very very quickly, what started as a separate intro post of my new Game of Thrones ocs vs my other upcoming post of general different fandom ocs turned into a whole original house so. Here's those guys first, separated by era but don't worry even those that don't have shows have a couple castings for some reason (the reason being I went insane) there will for sure be others later down the line bc I have a lot of faces saved for this and some spouses but these are the main/starting people. I will also probably make a lore post for the House itself bc I have a lot (tagging @randomestfandoms-ocs @ginevrastilinski-ocs @rose-of-oz bc got moots and maddie and greta have been listening to me ramble about them for a bit now)
Game of Thrones
Connas Umbrapis (Francois Arnaud FC), Sansa Stark ship. Second son of Lord Umbrapis, his older brother died during Robert’s Rebellion and to keep Lord Umbrapis’ brother in line since he was against Robert, Connas was taken as a ward to the Vale at six. However, Jon Arryn with his duties as Hand of the King could not have him for much longer so when he was ten he was sent to Winterfell to be Ned Stark’s new ward. So he lived there, on the outside of the Starks, bonding more with Theon as the wards of the North, and missing his mother every day after her death. But he still enjoyed parts of the North, except for when King Robert arrived to make Ned the new Hand. So Connas was left in the North.
Meralith Umbrapis (Deva Cassel FC), Jon Snow ship. The youngest child of Lord Umbrapis and his first wife, she remembers her mother dying. She doesn’t truly remember much of her older brother, all she knows is growing up in the Hivelands and when her father remarried, knowing she’ll help with her new siblings when they are born. But things change when Margaery Tyrell is aiming to be Queen. Meralith, due to her family’s connection to the Tyrell’s, gets brought to King’s Landing in the hopes of finding a husband and as a lady companion for Margaery.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
Astris Umbrapis (Hannah Dodd FC), Tyrell OC ship. The oldest of the three siblings, Astris knows she’s not going to rule her family. Even though she wants to, even though she’s more qualified than either of her brothers. No, Astris’ job was to find a good husband and run that household like any good noble woman. So visiting for the tourney at Ashford Meadow was meant for a chance at finding a good match while her brother competed, or at least some time with their relative.
Maxir Umbrapis (Daniel Sharman FC), Celesse Dayne ship. The second born and heir of House Umbrapis, except he had always been aware that his older sister wanted it. But for as much as he loves her and supports her, he also feels he could never change their father’s mind on the heir. So the three travel to Ashford Meadow for the tourney, Maxir looking forward to some time away and watching his brother compete. Yet when he meets Celesse of House Dayne, he feels that he may have found a new purpose to be here.
Braeden Umbrapis (Hugh Dancy FC), Ser Duncan ship. Braeden was the youngest of the three Umbrapis kids. He wasn’t the least bit interested in politics or rule, he preferred poetry and art and the occasional tourney. So he was excited to try his hand at Ashford, he was excited to travel with his siblings and just meet different people or catch up with their friends across the lands. He was not expecting to meet a hedge knight that sort of knew their father, or for that hedge knight to quickly get his affection
Kierat Umbrapis (Matteo Martari FC), Stark OC ship. Kierat was not fully embraced in the Umbrapis family, the grandson of one of Aegon IV’s “Great Bastards”, he was only born legitimized due to his grandfather dying shortly before he was born. But that’s been largely okay with him, he gets the benefits of being from a good family, being the grandson of a king at that, and not any of the large responsibilities of running his house. He has his own small castle in the Hivelands but he truly spends most time traveling. Which is why he accepted the invitation to Ashford Meadow, just a benefit to see his cousin Maekar and second cousins Astris/Maxir/Braeden.
Celesse Dayne (Simone Ashley FC), Maxir Umbrapis ship. Celesse truly enjoyed her family, she loved Dorne, she loved a lot of her life. A family that let her explore any pursuits she wished, that encouraged her for more than just “domestic pursuits”, their support meant a lot to her. It’s what allowed her to accept the invitation to Ashford Meadow on their behalf and travel with a few knights that were competing. Her plan was to just enjoy some entertainment and perhaps scope out her own match before her parents did, and Maxir Umbrapis was certainly an intriguing option.
House of the Dragon
Kristenne Umbrapis (Sai Bennett FC), Gwayne Hightower ship. Kristenne did not care for much when it came to the Targaryens, truly. She had known to take her family role seriously, finding a good match and as much as marrying into the royal family would have been ideal, that was difficult when the heir was a woman and the young princes were certainly quite young for her. But due to her and her brother’s father always trying to get ahead they must stay close to the family. Distress due to the king’s death really makes things take a turn though, and somehow the only normal she sees is the Queen’s own brother.
