Very behind on "Cloudward, Ho!", and I hardly ever get invested in non-canon straight ships, but Maxlethra has enthralled me. Unfortunately they're being played by Captain Gay and the Unromanceable Man, so my dreams are unrealistic. I will continue manifesting anyway...

maxlethra is. really so much to me. it’s SO MUCH. bc the thing is that they’re the two newbies, right? they’re the two that believed so fervently with so little to go on that they were able to rekindle the adventure for everyone else. they’re also very much the two people who have been watching and wanting and hoping while simultaneously being tethered to the ground by family in a way none of the other wind riders seem to have experienced. and I think that it’s like. kind of very important to me that nothing would’ve happened were it not for their belief in each other. they’re two sides of the same coin, two peas in a very strange pod. they’re the two people in the room just missing social cues left and fucking right. genuinely I think that olethra could’ve talked max into the friendship ritual bc that’s the vibe - she drags him into shit and he protects her when she does. like if they weren’t both SOOOO gay I’d say they might be fucking but as is I think they make out a couple times bc it’s fun and why not and that’s like. their safe person, who doesn’t really know anymore about all this than they do, who’s figuring it all out on the fly with them. this is so rambling I just think they are REALLY REALLY COOL. AND AWESOME.
