An American Girl Hikes Maxwell Falls

Me and my friend Ashley took our dogs to Maxwell Falls for a half day of hiking. With 14er season right around the corner, we need to get the pups and ourselves in shape.

Maxwell Falls is an easy trail, 4 miles round trip right outside the city of Evergreen. The trail follows Maxwell Creek and I read that the waterfall views were amazing however we did not have a lot of snow this winter so we did not see a waterfall.

Within ten minutes of loading the car up all three dogs were sleeping. I am going to have to get Sergeant out more often so he does not get exhausted as we make our way up 14,000 foot mountains. I am planning on climbing Longs Peak next month and would love if the dog could come.

Here are some pictures I took yesterday. Hopefully next time I go I will have a great waterfall shot.

We crossed the bridge to let the dogs play in the creek but Sergeant was tired so he plopped down for a nap. Once he saw Ashley’s dogs playing he wanted in.
