I turned on the tv yesterday and caught the tail end of Rouge Nation, and I had a LOT of Ethan/Benji feels that I have NO IDEA what to do with now. HALP

[½] I enjoyed the movie a lot, but there were a few things I disliked. I don’t like that they’re toying with the Ethan/Ilsa ship, even though I doubt it’ll become a reality (McQ has said that once it’s real, all the fun tension is gone and he doesn’t want that), meanwhile Benji’s out here getting LITERALLY ALMOST HANGED TO DEATH and Ethan can only focus on Ilsa’s injuries.

[2/2] I like Ilsa a lot, but tbh ... I'd prefer her with Julia. Like, who the fuck is this clown Julia's married to anyway? I loved that she and Ethan were able to still love each other and move on, but I don't like this dude she's with, and Ilsa clearly seems to like her a lot, so!!!!! Ugh. Also, yeah, not a whole lot of Ethan/Benji stuff, sadly. :(

UGH i’m soooooooooooooo not interested in the will they won’t they bs with ethan and ilsa.  the tension isn’t fun because shes just a random lady who has some crazy killer leg schtick (that didn’t even freaking work this movie, so that was cheap and ridiculous too).  i liked ilsa when i first came out of the theater for rogue nation, but the more i thought about her, the more i was like eh.  now i’m almost at active dislike for the character, because i feel like she’s being shoved down my throat like the greatest thing since sliced bread - like, dudes, EVERY female agent in the series has had magical badass moves, of course she’s hardcore, it’s literally her job, she wouldn’t be out there doing the thing if she couldn’t do the thing, WHY are we acting like she’s different from the others???? 

that said, it would do absolute wonders if we paired her off with julia, because they had more chemistry in that five second exchange at ethan’s bedside than ethan had with either woman in any of the movies lmao.  also i super cant with the husband and i REALLY CANT WITH HER NAME STILL BEING JULIA WHAT KIND OF NOBODY CAN KNOW SHES STILL ALIVE IS THIS omfg im okay 

also i miss brandt

also how is it that benji got a cool rope burn but NOT mystical magical ilsa??? yes yes he passed out and stuff and damn near got his neck broke off but SHE WAS TIED OFF AT THE NECK and also how did she not have the strength/ability/capacity to free herself until magically her partner got himself trussed up and then suddenly HULK MAD??? also WHY WAS BENJI SO INCOMPETENT IN THIS MOVIE WHAT THE HECKITY IDGI HES BEEN IN THE FIELD LONG ENOUGH THIS MAKES ZERO SENSE like no real talk this mofo was locked in little rooms and shit being bounced around in a straitjacket and shit but somehow he can overpower TWO ACTIVE GOVERNMENT SPIES but then only ONE of them can free herself, and the other one is just herp herp herp gotta flail a lot so the girl can unleash her magical don’t need no man superpowers and rescue me I CANT HES NOT A CIVILIAN THEY ARE EQUALS IT IS JUST AS FOOLISH AS HAVING HIM RESCUE HER ARGH THIS MOVIE

Kitty is an ABSOLUTELY adorable ship name. I like it. Though I’m sure it’s something convoluted like Kirkotty or something I dunno.

Well, I decided to try to get out of this writer’s slump, the bout of demotivation by trying some new writing techniques. (It’s not nice to read someone’s fic and feel like “this person is so good, I can’t be that good, nope” and it’s been happening a lot lately.) Well at least in terms of some drafting. 

I’m actually starting this Kirk/Scotty headcanon into fic thing based on the deleted scene and wow, ok. I just. Lots of feels and maybe I should try writing something different to make me think outside the box and not feel like shit at the same time.

No idea what the title is going to be and when I’ll actually finish it but it feels good to write something and feel inspired. There’s that. I’ll do that and then head to bed, I’m tired XD.

(To those just reading and seeing this, it is an update to this post, where I got a hate comment from a serial commenter who is bullying people in the Spones (Spock/McCoy) tag on AO3 by commenting on their fics with hate. I am 3 of 5 noted people, maybe more, so far.) Because I’m gonna tackle two birds with one stone, your comment and the photo explanation:

He probably is targeting people who seem more vulnerable. That’s what bullies do. IF his efforts are even that organized. He might just be shooting randomly and seeing what sticks. Ugh. I’m glad you’re stronger than he thinks you are. And yeah, I’m writing FINALLY. Feels good to finally get a solid word count in, in one sitting. It’s been happening in tiny little spurts for so long. And yeah, it’s Simon RPF. That’s literally all my brain does anymore haha.

So it turns out this guy has already bullied two other people other than me, if this evidence is proof. This time he got lazy and copy pasted his response but the fact of the matter is I was right, this guy is a bully and he is escalating. I think he’s choosing people who might be more vulnerable but also trying to see what sticks. I’m glad that my decision to report this to AO3 instead of just deleting it was the right call.

I also informed one of the writers to report it as well since they responded. The other writer, didn’t address it so they might be trying to ignore it or they haven’t seen it which is their prerogative. I’m not getting them into this mess if they didn’t want to be involved in the first place.

I don’t think this guy is going to quite any time soon (I mean 7 attempts and 5 people? That is a rap sheet man) and I just want something to be done about this coz I don’t want someone to be hurt or be alienated away from a potential coping mechanism or something that could make them happy so. Hopefully sometime this morning or afternoon I’ll get a response from suppport staff.

And I’m glad @maxwrite you’re getting some solid writing done in one sitting! i haven’t felt that writer’s zone in awhile but it’s so rewarding. And I will totally read that fic when you’re done, it sounds like it’s gonna be goooood.

UPDATE: So the author that I contacted agreed with me and is going to report this person so hopefully SOMETHING gets done. This is as Bones and Spock would say: “horseshit”.

Damn, I missed a lot while I was writing. :/ I’m so sorry you got hate. So weird. Why on earth would you even click on a fic that is clearly not to your taste? And what’s kind of hilarious is the sheer size of and history behind the Spones fandom. Does this person know what they’re up against? smh They should take their own advice and not post nonsense on the internet.

You’re writing!?! Ahhh I want to read it when you’re done. I so need to do that.

Yeah this guy’s comments...is all sorts of gold. *shakes head* I’m just more concerned for the other people he’s targeting because after 3 people, there’s some similar patterns of behavior. He’s had his comment deleted by the first author (who wrote their first Spones fic ever and so said so), but then reworded it but basically was the same spiel. This author then deletes it again and then makes their comments screened. Then he does it with my friend’s fic in July. He is even more verbose, it’s over 5 paragraphs long like an essay. She responded but obviously he doesn’t learn his lesson. And then now me. 

I mean... If he’s trying to target people because of things he can use to get under their skin or because they’re vulnerable? That’s troublesome. So Im waiting for AO3 support to respond and see what they can do. If there’s no recourse I’ll just deleted it and/or treat it as spam like I was thinking about doing earlier. 

I don’t think this person understands this side of fandom or how much history/fans are behind it but considering his own history of actions? Probably wouldn’t matter.

이번 편은 시간상 시리즈의 파트2와 후, 파트4 전 사이 이야기 입니다.

파트2에서 톰과 사이먼이 서로 애정을 확인(..이런 상투적인 표현;;)한 후 처음으로 가지는 제대로된 데이트 이야기예요. 파트1 하키경기를 첫번째 데이트라고 치면 공식적으로는 두번째 데이트 이야기.

파트2 마지막에 톰의 마음을 받고 그의 집에 가서 밤을 보내긴 했지만 정말 관계시작에 대해서는 아직 확실하지 않았던 사이먼이 데이트로 마음 굳히는 이야깁니다 ㅋ

초반과 비슷하게 아주 열정적이고 자신있게 사이먼을 pursue하는 톰의 모습이 나옵니다.  IM4촬영중 인도에서 아주 삐까번쩍한 호텔에 있는 삐까번쩎한 레스토랑 정중앙 자리로 자리잡은 ㅋㅋ  게다가 톰이 사이먼에게 퍼붓는 찬사도 아주 돌직구 입니다. 뭘 입고 가냐고 물으니 ‘편하게 입고 와’라고 하는 톰.  그게 다냐! 그게 힌트의 다야! 라고 묻는 사이먼에게 "I trust your judgment. Just be you. You'll look great. You always do." 아.. 아네..

촬영하느라 운동도 열심히 해서 몸매도 쫙 빠져있겠다, 다리달라붙는바지입고 가는 사이먼 ㅋㅋ 내 assets을 뽐내야겠다고 ㅋㅋ  

레스토랑에 도착해서 초반에는 정말 데이트의 정석 처럼 이뤄집니다. 겁나 젠틀하고 배려심쩔고 웃을때마다 화사~~ 한 톰.  ‘널 위해 스파클링 워터와 에피타이저를 먼저 주문했어, 괜찮았으면 좋겠어’ 부터 읽으며..로맨스...성공적인데이트의 시작... 같은.. 정석같은.

레스토랑에서의 대화들 완전 깨알같습니다.  아직까지도 영 이 관계에 대해 확신이 서지 못한 사이먼과 온갖 정성을 열정을 다해 확신을 꼭 시켜주고 말겠다는 의지가 느껴지는 톰;

네가 지금까지 데이트했던 사람들 타입과 나는 너무 다르지 않느냐, 우리는 너무 다르다 분명 재앙-_-이 일어날거야 주변사람들이 다칠거야 사실 실감도 잘 나지않는데 게다가 나는 네 딸도 걱정되고 등등.  그러면서 갑자기 너 비디오게임 하냐? 난 아직도 비디오게임 모으고, 피규어도 모으고, 만화도 봐. 너 만화 안보지? 그렇다면 우리 관계가 이루어질수 없어.  이러는데 톰이 ‘나 애들 있잖아.. 애들이랑 몇년이나 계속 카툰 봤다고..’

"Quick: who's your favorite Pony then?"

"'Rainbow Dash'," Tom replies without missing a beat.

아악 ㅠㅠ 살려줘 ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

그리고 얼마 지나지 않아 엄청 살떨리게 스윗한 장면이 나오는데 음악에 관해서... 음.. 저는 이 팬픽을 보고 elbow의 팬이 되었습니다.. ㅠㅠ

사이먼을 존나 뚫어지게 바라보며 가사에서she를 he로 바꾸어서 조용히 읊어대는 톰... 사기캐..

"You're smooth as fuck, you know that?"

Tom nods. "I know."

나중에 자리를 옮겨 정원으로 가면서도 보면서.악 소리 나오는 데이트정석트릭의 향연이.. 계속됩니다...
