29 years ago, on this day, May 8, 1992 Johnny and Emir Kusturica had a photocall session at the 47th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.
> Curiosities: As said on the previous post, on that day, they were not there for the premiere of Kusturica’s movie “Arizona Dream”, but to promote the idea of the upcoming movie featuring Johnny, which at that time was not even finished yet. Although some people says that on that day had a press conference, there’s no information about it anywhere and not even photos of the event. It’s been said that Johnny and Kusturica promoted the movie, had some photoshoots, interviews, and enjoyed the city. Thankfully to this promotion, the movie premiered in limited theaters in Paris, France on January 3, 1993, opening a very limited release in Europe and around the world, but being screened mostly in festivals, or in selected theaters. In the USA, the movie was released only in three theaters, almost 2 years later, on September 9, 1994, after a failed attempt to screen a shortened version, some months earlier...
