I scratched your name out with a nail
I scratched your name out with a nail,
But I could still see your name,
Although I never noticed until 13 years later.

Things I Learned in AP World
For centuries, the Mongols sat in the mountains, quietly becoming very good at mounted archery
so that for a mere 20 years, they could kick three continents of ass.
I cannot believe what I witnessed last night! Arctic Monkeys was incredible!!!!!! Everything I dreamed it would be! They have amazing stage presence. And well Alex had the audience in the palm of his hand ;)

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare
Kevin Spacey is starring as the villain in the new Call of Duty game being developed by Sledgehammer games. Due to a leak the trailer for the game was released earlier than scheduled last week. The film featured clips of characters using technologically advanced suits of combat armor, suction cup gloves, and hover-bikes. All in all it makes for one spectacular trailer.
The game will come out on November 4th, 2014.
In other Activision news, Neversoft will be closing its doors and merging with Infinity Ward. The company once developed the fantastic Spider-Man and Tony Hawk games. It also had a good run on Guitar Hero once Harmonix moved on to making Rock Band.
Most recently they were relegated to developing DLC for Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Ghosts. The two heads of the company will retire from making games and the rest of the staff will merge with Infinity Ward to participate in the COD franchise's new 3 year development cycle.
Destiny's Beta Starts July 9th
... and I can't wait. The game apparently cost Activision $500 million to develop and market, so hopefully it is a massive success for them.
Marvel will be more selective about which developers get to make their super hero games.
Marvel plans to put out fewer, higher quality games related to their characters. Hopes are to have the games' development cycles run independent from film deadlines, so that they are able to come out when they're ready. This alleviates some of my anxiety from my Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition post from last Wednesday.
John Carmack is working a VR comic book shop for the Oculus Rift. This might be the coolest story ever and I am now 100% on board with the Oculus rift.
EA has a bunch of good news this week.
Titanfall sold more than 925,000 physical copies in March.
The Sims 4 will come out in October and a new golf title will come in 2015.
Dice will show Star Wars: Battlefront at E3 this year.
