Our first family games night in the park was a big success last night. Many thanks to Melanie for her hard work as games master. We'll be continuing games night every Wednesday evening this month, please come out and join us and if you're in the park please don't hesitate to jump in on the fun.
We don't yet have a 'Games Master' for May 28th's event, so if you're itching to get your feet wet in helping out the group, let us know.
I saw many cameras capturing wonderful moments last night. If you'd like to have any of your pictures shared here, please do Submit them, or post them on facebook.
tell us the story?!
Well, I was in his city. I couldn’t bring myself to go down his street because I literally was shaking so bad that I was afraid that I was going to get sick. I mean really, I was meeting my boyfriend for the first time. I looked at my mom, and said, “Okay, I’m ready.” and she drove down to his place. I saw him sitting on top of his car and I couldn’t breathe. I immediately got out of the car and I ran up to Aleks and hugged him. He was shaking more than I was, and I don’t think he expected me to hug him because it took him a minute before he realized that it was actually happening and then he hugged back. It was a little awkward at first. We did our damndest to make conversation but it was a little hard. My mom and my brother wanted head to the next city over. It isn’t that far and they would have something that would actually interest them to do. My brother did his best to embarrass me as much as he could without going to far, and I just went along with it because it’s a normal thing for us. As soon as we parked the car, Happy by Pharrell came on the radio and my mom and brother both started dancing to it. I looked at Aleks and he was laughing really hard but he didn’t know what to do. So I just started dancing because I love the song and it gave him a decent glimpse into how crazy my family actually is. We walked around for a little bit; tried to get used to being around each other and to actually make a decent conversation without it being awkward. We found a park that was full of homeless people. They were harmless and didn’t bother us. Dogs were playing and people were laughing. It was a good vibe. We sat in the middle of the grass and just talked and giggled at each other. He played with my hands a lot and we talked about things. We stayed there for about an hour and then walked back to the car and hung out until my mom and brother returned. He gave me a piggy back ride and just went in circles because we didn’t know what to do, lol. After a while, I sat on the back of the car with him. Seeing as how I’m so small, I had to climb up the car… he just had to jump on it. The struggle. We waited until my fam showed up and then went back to his town because his mom wanted him to walk the dog. Which was really entertaining because she’s one jealous pup. Every time I touched him or held his hand, she’d try to break it up. We walked around and ended up at his old Elementary School, and that’s where we ended up having our first kiss. We walked back his place after that and my mom was already waiting for me to take me home. I was really sad, but I was beyond grateful to get to see him. It was just a perfect day.
