Should there be specific conditions for the lake to show the faces of missing people?

The Lake of Memories typically only has one condition, you have someone you miss dearly and didn't even realize you missed them. Missing people show up in it very often, but if you look into the lake at any time, it will reflect the person you miss (typically next to you or in your place.) Even if you didn't realize you missed them, in which, if you know what the lake is for, you will start to realize how much you missed them.

This can also reflect a younger version of yourself, and of others. The age reflected in the lake can change depending on how you feel about the person you miss.

If you miss your younger self not realizing it, you will see your younger self. That's kind of how it works.
