i think my aversion to sharing self ships or why i don’t talk about some of my blorbos as much as i used to (say two years ago) and why I prefer to write about them these days is because i had a lot of friends who would try to force me to pick other characters from the same show, demean my personal hcs or preferences for them, or like … forcefully associate me with characters that weren’t the ones i self shipped with (ignoring the ones i did or at least the main ones).

in some cases, i wasn’t allowed to discuss a character we both liked unless it pertained to their selfship and not my own.

i prefer to write sometimes bc no one can take that away from me, the people who made me uncomfortable with sharing my ships might even enjoy the way i write them and that’s better than being told im suited to someone else.

i hope one day im more comfortable w sharing again!! until then i will plot my silly fictions <3

#small vent in tags lol #bro this used to happen to me so much #esp last year #to the point where i lowkey have an aversion to talking abt one of my selfships #this whole act of being possessive over characters is really super weird to me #i think in a circle or realm in which we all know the same characters #it’s incredibly telling when you try to force someone out of a box or a selfship because YOU also like that character #it’s oddly selfish and immature considering we’re all the same age group - ish #and i think this is different to having different versions of the same chara existing in ur heads so like nah disagree #may*#also i think people subconsciously do this because jealously and possessiveness is a thing #and that’s natural #but it gets to a point i think #where you should step back and realise that you’re being unreasonable and remove yourself from the scenario #⋆.˚ aali’s announcements !!

brooooo, i started this tumblr last year on 7th may and I'm glad i did. and it is gonna be 7th may soon and it is going to be one of the most important days of my life and the fact that it is all happening is so jsjsjsjsjs. and i hope that I'll be as glad after 7th may 2023 as i was after 7th may 2022.
