Oddinary
Lee Felix x fem!reader

Word count: 2.5k
Based on Stray Kids Oddinary teaser
The assignment was simple.
Kill Lee Felix.
Lee Felix was the biggest threat to the operation, the game changer, the one person who could destroy S.K.Z's plan.
S.K.Z. was a secret organization, a criminal group with deep roots and ambitious designs set on governing the underbelly of Korea's power structure. It wasn't just about control; it was about fear, fame, and the power to hold over anyone who dared oppose them.
Felix's father led Oddinary, S.K.Z’s only rival, and the block to S.K.Z's control of Korea.
Recently, his father was diagnosed as terminally ill, given just two months to live.
This meant Felix would soon inherit Oddinary.
It only made sense to kill him.
Once he was gone, S.K.Z. could take over with no one to stop them.
They would hold power, fame, and evoke fear across Korea.
But killing Felix wouldn’t be easy.
He kept his guard up; nobody ever got close.
Your assignment: Find a crack in his defenses. Make him fall in love with you.
And try not to fall for him in the process.
No one believed in you.
You were an assassin.
You killed effortlessly and elegantly; you fought with a grace that masked your violence, and you could vanish into the shadows like a phantom, leaving no evidence, blending quietly into the dimming light. Yet, beneath the facade of efficiency, a quiet turmoil often brewed within you. The aftermath of each completed mission left echoes in your mind, reminders of lives taken, each one weighing a little heavier on your conscience. The elegance in your actions belied the reality of your emotions, a conflict that gnawed at you silently and relentlessly.
Killing was like your second nature.
But making someone fall in love with you?
Tracing every constellation in the sky felt more achievable.
But Bang Chan chose you.
He believed in you. He trusted you.
And you weren't going to let him down.
To get close to Felix, you enrolled as a college student, spending weeks training, surviving on little sleep and microwave ramen.
You tracked his routines: classes, seat choices, hobbies, his job.
You found romantic yet private spots to consider for the kill. You read up on attention-getting tricks, doubting their usefulness.
Prove yourself. Don't let them down.
The words replayed in your head every time you wanted to give up, every time you felt dizzy from working so hard, every time someone told you to give up.
Because once Felix was dead, S.K.Z. would run the world.
Bang Chan would finally be pleased with you.
You would stop getting annoyed looks from the members.
You would finally prove yourself.
And as you approached the bustling college building, you repeated the words.
Prove yourself. Don't let them down.
The words were locked into your mind, firm and steady.
In every class, you made sure to sit next to Felix.
You let him catch you staring.
You faked shy smiles and soft blushes.
Pique his interest. Make it seem like you’re fascinated by him.
The next day, you made small talk with him.
“Hey, what’s the answer to question two?”
“I like your necklace, where did you get it?”
“Wait, you listen to ILLIT too?”
His answers were quiet, brief, and vague. He wore silence like armor. But you held onto every word he said as your life depended on it.
Because, in a way, it did. Sometimes, when he glanced at you, there was a flicker of something in his eyes that made you wonder if he was guessing your intentions. He was hostile and quiet. Barely said anything. His walls were high.
Maybe too high.
But you persisted.
Day after day, you kept talking to him, giggling, tucking your hair behind your ears flirtily, and giving your best smile.
Gain his trust.
You made it seem like you had no friends, like you were a happy, carefree soul, like all you were interested in was school and boys.
Your cheerful, flirtatious act masked a deadly purpose.
And slowly, slowly, he started to open up.
You bonded over ILLIT, teamed up on a project together, and shared cafeteria lunches.
Slowly but surely, you gained his trust, week by week, smile by smile.
After a month, you asked him out.
At first, he faltered.
Do I trust this girl?
But he was lonely. Naive. Tired of hiding behind his walls.
You seemed innocent enough.
Sweet, funny, pretty.
So he said yes.
Stupid decision, really.
You started to wonder whether he knew how important a role he was, what his father was doing, and how much danger he was in.
The first date was chaotic, but fun.
You took him to an amusement park, somewhere you could be together without being together.
He displayed his aiming skills at a dart stand to impress you, and when he won a yellow stuffed chick, he gave it to you.
He screamed on all the rides, even when no one else did. At first, it embarrassed you, but eventually you joined him, laughing and screaming.
When he passed out on one of the roller coasters, you gently helped him up and helped him drink cold water, shaking and embarrassed.
“Sorry,” he mumbled, cupping the water cup with both his hands.
You reassured him it was ok, but you could tell he was still embarrassed. He dragged you to every single ride after that to prove he could still handle them.
When you dragged him onto the Ferris wheel, you didn’t know you would both get stuck at the very top.
You unconsciously clung to him in fear, wrapping your arms tight around him until he could barely breathe.
“We’re gonna die,” you whimpered.
He put his arm around you and squeezed your shoulder reassuringly.
“We’re gonna be fine, love,” he said calmly, the softness of his voice twisting your ribs..
You tried to ignore the butterflies forming in your stomach.
Remember your mission. Remember why you're here.
But when you pulled away and saw the flicker of hurt in his eyes, something inside you cracked.
But you couldn’t help longing for his touch, still.
The next week, he drove you to the edge of the woods and made you put on a blindfold.
At first, you refused.
Why should you trust him?
He could take you anywhere, do anything to you.
But somewhere, deep in your heart, you trusted him.
“Where are you taking me?” you asked as he pulled you deeper into the woods, farther from the city.
“You’ll see.”
When you reached your destination, he carefully untied the blindfold.
“Wow,” you breathed.
He had taken you to an empty clearing of the woods, at the edge of a cliff, the world falling away into the darkness below.
With no city nearby, the air was clearer and cooler, and the starry sky looked enormous.
An ocean of stars stretched in every direction. The Milky Way glowed like a soft, misty river overhead.
You and Felix sat on the edge of the cliff, legs dangling freely.
The sounds of the world were distant—all you could hear was your gentle breathing, the hush of the wind, and the soft rustle of leaves.
You felt small- but you also felt connected. It was like the entire world had faded, and it was just you, Felix, and the stars.
Without thinking, you rested your head on Felix’s shoulder, and he gently wrapped his arm around you.
He pointed out every constellation, every shooting star. You listened intently, feeling soothed by his deep voice.
Stop.
The voice was small but clear.
And it was right.
Your entire purpose was to gain his trust, lure his heart into loving you, and kill him.
Then you would belong. Then you could prove yourself to Bang Chan.
But there, under the blanket of stars and his touch, you felt peaceful.
But the voice still whispered, haunting you.
Prove yourself. Don’t let them down.
Don't fall in love.
Yet as the months went by, as you spent more time with Felix, the line between murder and emotion blurred.
You started falling for him.
The voice stopped.
And the thought of killing him felt...
painful.
After a month, Bang Chan stormed into your room.
“It’s been two months, y/n. We’re all getting impatient,” he growled.
You stood up, pleading. “Just give me a few more-”
“Kill him today, or it’s over,” he said, the anger in his eyes sharp and clear.
Over.
From the day Bang Chan killed your parents and took you, he made you train relentlessly. The memory of that night was a haunting echo, shadows dancing in your mind as their laughter was abruptly silenced. You were young, confused, and terrified. Grief felt like a heavy weight pressing on your chest. With no time to mourn, you were thrust into a world of harsh training and ruthless discipline.
Day after day, week after week, he taught you how to fight, how to dodge, how to shoot.
Your body ached, your heart was filled with grief, and your eyes were tired.
But he never let you rest.
Soon, your body and mind were conditioned for one thing: killing.
You didn’t want to be that way.
Bang Chan forced you to.
The world forced you to.
Grief, bitterness, and anger consumed you until you channeled them into the victims of S.K.Z.
Murder was the only thing you did.
You didn’t know why Bang Chan chose you.
You didn’t know why he killed your parents, why he forced you to become this way.
But now, proving to him you were worth something mattered more than anything else.
So when Felix invited you to his house for a movie night, you brought a gun.
Prove yourself. Don't let them down.
Don’t fall in love.
Halfway through the movie, he had fallen asleep on your shoulder, half-drooling.
Vulnerable.
Defenseless.
You quietly pulled the gun out of your bag, trying not to wake up Felix, and pointed it towards his head.
But for some reason...
you couldn’t pull the trigger.
Your hands shook, gun still pointed towards Felix’s head, but you couldn’t pull the trigger.
“Get yourself together, y/n,” you muttered.
But you just… couldn’t pull it.
As he lazily wrapped his arms around you, your stomach twisted with realization.
By some horrible twist of fate, your heart did the one thing you promised yourself you never would.
You had fallen in love with him.
“Crap,” you whispered.
You had tried to stay distant, tried to remember who you were, what your job was.
Kill Lee Felix.
Prove yourself and show Bang Chan you're worth something.
But the way Felix looked at you, the way he gently touched you, the way he laughed, the way he smiled.
He made you feel like you were worth something.
Like you were enough.
Like you weren't just a weapon, but a person.
“I love you,” Felix mumbled sleepily, as if the world was confirming your worst fear.
“I love you too,” you confessed quietly.
You dropped the gun.
And with it, your future.
“I can’t believe this. I trusted you, y/n. I thought you could do this,” Bang Chan yelled, pacing around anxiously.
You didn’t even flinch. You were used to being yelled at.
“I know, I’m sorry, I just…”
He stopped pacing and approached you until he was inches from your face, holding his gaze, his eyes cold and piercing.
“You fell in love, didn’t you?”
Your heart stopped beating.
“I-“
“You fell in love, didn’t you, y/n?”
“Yes,” you broke his gaze, looking at the floor.
Suddenly, Bang Chan put his hand around your throat, squeezing harder and harder until you couldn’t breathe.
“Kill him or I kill you.”
And as you started to feel yourself slipping away, you realized you had no choice. You couldn’t protect Felix forever. Once you died, Bang Chan would send someone else to do the job.
Someone better.
Someone stronger.
Prove yourself. Don't let them down. The voice was screaming, begging.
So you nodded, and he released you from his grasp.
An hour later, you and Felix were on the top floor of the Ordinary building.
He looked peaceful, gazing out the window at the world below.
The city was glowing, the stars invisible above the bright lights.
The silence was loud, tense.
The knife in your bag felt heavy, and your heart ached. Your hand fumbled as you reached for it. But as you were pulling it out, Felix’s gaze landed on you.
“I know who you are.”
“What?” The knife slipped out of your hand and back into your bag.
“I know who you are,” he said, face unreadable.
“I- what?” Your heart pounded.
“I know you work for S.K.Z, and I know you’re supposed to kill me.” His voice was steady, but his eyes were full of anger.
“How...?”
He locked eyes with you. “Movie night. I know you were holding a gun to my head.”
“Why didn’t you stop me?” Your fingers brushed the knife in your bag.
“Do you love me?”
“What?”
He stepped closer.
“Do you love me?”
“We can never be together.” You quietly pulled out your knife, holding your gaze. His dark brown eyes were soft and hopeful, and you could feel your own heart beat vigorously.
“Yes, we can, y/n. Run away with me. Get out of here. Join our side.”
“I-“
And suddenly his lips were on yours.
He pulled you closer, hands around your waist. His lips were soft and warm, like sweet honey on your lips. He kissed you almost violently, as if you would pull back at any second. The knife slipped from your hand and onto the floor, forgotten. You felt your hands running up his neck and into his hair, your heart vibrating.
But deep down, in the darkest corner of your mind, you knew what you had to do.
To belong. To prove yourself.
The plan had been so, so simple.
Gain Felix’s trust.
Make him fall in love with you.
End his life.
Falling in love wasn’t a part of the plan.
Prove yourself. Don’t let them down.
Don’t fall in love.
So you did what you had to do.
You put your hands on Felix’s chest, pulled back from his lips, and brought your mouth to his ear.
“Maybe in another life,” you whispered.
Then you pushed him with all your strength into the glass window.
The glass gave way as Felix’s body slammed into the window, shards bursting outward like a storm of glittering dust, and he stumbled backward into the open air.
You didn’t move.
You felt the wind rush through the broken window, felt it brush against your face, but it wasn’t enough to push you forward.
Everything around you slowed, as if time itself was unsure what to do. Felix’s arms were outstretched, reaching for balance, something to hold onto...
reaching for you.
He fell in a strange, suspended silence- as if the world had decided that sound would be too heavy for the movement. No screams. No gasps. Just the slow drift of his body falling, falling, the fragments of glass drifting after him like dying stars.
The pain and betrayal were raw and deep in his eyes.
And before he was gone from view, before he was swallowed into the darkness below, you saw something flicker in his gaze.
Love.
You closed your eyes.
You couldn’t look at him.
You loved him, despite everything.
You loved him, and you killed him.
But your duty, your fear, your chains-all of it weighed more than your heart.
Maybe in another life you could be together.
But a thought was gnawing at your mind, haunting and shadowed.
What if this was the other life?
