tonight we held a poems party; the conceit was that everyone had to memorize a poem, by heart, and recite it for the others at the party. so for the past few weeks a crew of us have been going about our days mumbling under our breath, double-checking the words, getting the thing fixed in the memory, and tonight we gathered and ate a lot of food and recited poems
