This is true of things and people. Sometimes you have to re-evaluate your relationships with friends and family. No need to burn bridges. During the changing seasons of life, people either stay the same (positive- true blue, solid gold or negative- stagnant, neutral, same ole thing), grow in spiritual maturity and productivity, stumble and fall down, or turn their backs completely on you and others.
Know what season they are in. Unlike today’s erratic weather extremes, a person doesn’t just enter skipping into spring with their morning coffee and then skydiving head first into an emotional hot mess by lunch. You are not Dr. Frazier Crane, any of Oprah’s couch counselors, and certainly not God. Be a friend. Be a good friend. Don’t get caught up with pausing your life, dealing with the constant drama of others. Learn the difference between friends, associates, and prayer list only people.
No need to burn bridges. Why did I repeat that sentence? I wanted to reread this in front of a mirror. I would really hate for somebody else to check me. What about you?
