I'm gonna say this because more articles are coming out and it honestly is starting to make me sick to my stomach; I do not believe a single word Maya Henry is saying.
"Oh but what happened to believe the victim?" I just don't believe her. If someone hurts you in the way she claims he hurt her, you file a restraining order, not just a cease and desist. All the cease and desist does it make it so he cannot speak about the situation in public to anyone without legal troubles. This does not stop him from being anywhere near her or her family.
If someone hurts you the way he supposedly hurt her, you avoid talking about this person and their existence like the goddamn plague. I know I for sure as hell would. I would speak my truths then make sure nothing involving my abuser would be able to reach me in any way. Not their face, not their voice, not their name, not their friends or family, nothing. Wouldn't you do the same if you were abused/traumatized terribly as she claims he has done to her?
Why does she not want him to be able to speak his side of the story? Why was he never able to say what was going on? He's said before in interviews that he was in an awful mental state during that relationship, said it brought out the worst in him and he's very happy to be out of it. And that he's doing better mentally out of the relationship.
TYPICALLY(not always, just typically) abusers do not give a shit about leaving the relationship. They just don't. I'm saying this as someone who's had friends that have been in abusive relationships and the abusers just didn't care about leaving. They, however, were happy as fuck to get out of said relationship because they were being abused.
And before you say "you're just saying this because you're a huge fan of Liam and he's your idol and he shaped your childhood/teenagehood." No, I'm not. I like Liam, I really do. However, I'm not saying this only because I like him. I hadn't heard anything about it until about a month or so after Liam's passing, and despite not knowing all too much about him, I just immediately didn't believe it.
Hate me if you want for me saying I don't believe Maya Henry, but I have reason to. This is not me saying I never believe the victim, I believe the victim every single time, but something just isn't adding up properly and I'm just very skeptical about everything surrounding it. There's no other proof about it besides her word. And while somethings only need to be said, the way she's going about it, there should be at least a shred of proof to go with it, yet there's not. Not a single text, not a single video, not anything. If it comes out that none of this actually happened, I will not be surprised.
