Help Shaka and Maya Smart raise funds & awareness for FRIENDS Association for Children. Help Shaka and Maya Smart raise funds and awareness for FRIENDS...
Hey guys! So, Shaka Smart (VCU Men's Basketball coach for those who don't know) and his wife, Maya, are trying to raise money and awareness for a non-profit organization called FRIENDS Association for Children. This organization provides many services for inner city kids in the Richmond area. You can help by going to the link below and purchasing a t-shirt for $20, or just by leaving a donation. Every little bit helps, and you get a cool shirt out of it!
I know the majority of you guys are either in college or in high school and can't afford to buy a $20 t-shirt. Trust me, I completely understand. But if you could reblog this just to make people aware that this is happening and to get the word out there, that would be great! Like I said before, every little bit helps!
Please consider helping out! These kids need the services that FRIENDS is providing them with, and FRIENDS can't continue doing so without support!
Appreciation is the currency of success.

David Young and I had a great time talking about FRIENDS with Barry Moore on Haley Taking it to the Streets on 1140 WRVA. In short, our message was that the organization's service to children since 1871 merits wider community recognition and support. If you agree, please buy a FRIENDS RVA shirt at bonfirefunds.com/friendsrva and help us spread the word.
