Might be projecting a bit but I like this head Canon so stfu/lh:
Headcanon where L hasnt felt any physical comfort in years, so in yotsuba arc, after that first day he and Light share a bed, Ls like entire system crashes and now hes sitting next to Light more, crouching on his lap for 'optimal thermal regulation' and whenever Light is forcing him to sleep, he waits for Light to sleep before inching as close as possible.
