World Youth Day 2016
Krakow experience from Don Bosco Sta. Mesa // July 30 - 31 It was fun and fulfilling experience indeed. So from Canlubang, we went to Don Bosco Sta. Mesa to celebrate the Local World Youth Day. It started with a live band while waiting for the other delegates to come. Right from the start, we already knew that it would be fun. Then, it followed by fun unfreezers. Every youth was energetically dancing. Then, we proceed to a prayer. After the prayer, Fr. Joji gave us an inspiring talk about Mercy. It was really interesting because he's giving a lot of hugot and banat lines that each one of us can relate. The first highlight of that night was the workshop, The Millenials. We had a rave party that reflects we are the youth; a youth that has happiness towards holiness. The second higlight was the Way of the Cross on the streets. It was really solemn and really feels good. It was like we were evangelizing the people that were on the streets. It lasted for an hour, but we didn't feel any tiredness. The third highlight was the Worship concert. Everyone was singing, dancing, jumping, and shouting. The feelings and emotions that we had were really unexplainable. It was not only a concert, but we can also learn something from the testimonies that they were sharing. The fourth and most important higlight of the gathering was the message of the Pope at 2 am. We were moved by the Pope's message because he used so many symbols that everyone can understand and that really speaks of the youth of this generation. The last highlight was the Holy Mass. Even though everyone is sleepy, we can still manage to actively participate on the Mass because it is the time to ask for courage and strength from God to be able to do His challenge well. We had no sleep but it was worth it. "Blessed are the Merciful, for they shall obtain Mercy"
