A young visitor has entered the theater.

Balan would usually be loud, flamboyant, very showy, usually his guests were older too. This guest was a bit younger then his usual visitors, that didn't mean he couldn't do this. He could take care of the guests no matter the age. So he had toys, coloring books, and more things set out for this young guest as he laid on the floor so he'd be spotted at around an eye level of the newest arrival.

Question: If Selph witnessed a human child sing a sad song about the brutal things their parents had done to them, how would she react and what would she do?

...Well this is a question HDFG

I have touched upon something similar before with Jackle but as for Selph it honestly depends, though the most likely scenario would be she would not do anything. She would simply leave, probably swiftly because it would stir something in her, memories that she would Not Like to remember coughs Wizeman coughs

But if we’re talking endgame Selph here, she might go and get NiGHTS (or Jackle depending) to go and help the child out, and if their ideya is in need of healing that they can’t provide, they could then bring them to her and she could help in a more professional setting more suited to her methods.

Strange, what was a child doing on the Port Mafia's turf? She looked alone. No one else was around. He was here on a mission to spy on the Mafia, but right now, the lone girl was distracting him.

The clown casually approached the girl, offering a friendly smile. "Hello hello~! Are you lost, little girl~?"

*A human child enters through a portal to the Lost City of Magic and discovers a theater. She enters the theater out of curiosity and discovers Fantoccio, she approaches him* Salutations, Sir! *she greeted him with a smile*

... What is that? No animal that he's ever seen for sure.

Best he can tell is that this was a kid. A rather young one. And clearly alive rather than undead- how did she even get this far? Where is she even from?!

He turned his head back to face the drapery he was working on. After finishing with it, he vanished in a yellow flash. Then reappeared in that same flash right in front of her. Well, he was hovering a bit above her, but still.

"Ah! Finally a fresh face!"

He floated backwards towards the stage, having to keep from patting his face.

He can't look too excited at the newcomer, keep his composure...

"It's about time this theater got some new talent! Between you and me? The people in this town lack vision, and art!"

Or sentience for that matter. Being a mindless zombie will do that.

"Now! Let's see what you have to offer!" he proclaimed, gesturing down towards the stage.

Regardless of the circumstances of this new arrival, he'll take what he can get.

It's not like she has anywhere else to go. The curse of the city made sure of that.
