The Mayo River as it flows near Madison, North Carolina, close to the Virginia state line and the confluence with the Dan River. From Jan 2021. This was the largest most robust river I’ve yet had a chance to walk alongside, shoot and enjoy! Stay tuned, there’s some great video from that day too!

Yesterday's spontaneous outing was to Fall Creek Waterfalls, recently added to the State property of #mayoriverstatepark Definitely a hidden treasure in NC, about 5 miles south of the VA/NC border, the waterfall is awesome and only a 1/4 Mile hike after you park. Three camp sites in the entrance feature grills, picnic tables and space to throw up a tent. Check it out!
