something about Kinich and Ajaw's relationship is so interesting imo,
On one hand there is no way Ajaw is actually a Sovereign be is probably at best a dragon prince like Scylla. But he's old, so he should know better than to enter a contract or have any kind of relationship with a human, bc if you do you would doom yourself to knowing what 'love' and 'grief' means. Time and time again, you see this happen with the different dragons from other regions (Neuvilette, Azhdaha, Dvalin, Kapatcir) (Apep is an exception ig?).
If he doesn't actually know that hoooo boy he's going to be in a world of emotions when he realizes. BUT, if he does know, then why would he take that pact? Why would you walk blindly into that path of pain? Was he lying when he said he wanted to feel the sun's warmth?
The contract between the two fall apart under scrutiny, is it fair because there is no insurance that Kinich's body will be in one piece when he dies or is it fair because the possibility of Ajaw living in grief for eternity because the only person who understands him is gone
