apparently the term "compulsory heterosexuality" was coined in an essay that went deep into freudian bullshit and terf rhetoric. you can find it easily on Google and it's as gross as it sounds

Yeah I know. Sometimes bad people have good ideas and I am WAITING with baited breath for someone who doesn’t have their head up their ass to coin a new term for the same generalized concept because yeah, people are conditioned from basically birth to view heterosexuality as normal and the default and something to strive for and I’ve experienced my fair share of thinking I HAVE to be straight but yeah, the term was coined by an asshole.
