What's the worst restaurant experience y'all have had?

SHEP: when i was 10 two of my brothers tried to drown me in a lobster tank.

MASON: HA! no, that’s awful. uh, this one time i went to a hibachi place during a panic attack?…

SHEP: [laughing] oh, christ!

MASON: yeah, not the best day.

CHARLIE: one time i went to taco bell when there was a fursuit convention in town and i was SUPREMELY high.

SHEP: [laughing harder] oh, CHRIST!

CHARLIE: and for a hot second, i thought bipedal lions were real and that they were there in taco bell with me. at 2 am on a sunday.

MASON: i feel like this is your origin story.

CHARLIE: i think i probably walked in and out of that taco bell sixteen times before i even ordered anything.

Have you three fellas ever seen anything particularly odd while at camp? Anything of the cryptic persuasion, perhaps?

SHEP: there’s a monster in the lake.

MASON: there’s not a monster in the lake.

SHEP: there’s a monster in the lake and it’s gonna eat you if you don’t give me five dollars.

Have any of you had braces?

CHARLIE: iiiii did! and i lost my retainer on a ROLLER coaster!

SHEP: i thought you said it was ferris wheel.

CHARLIE: that was my SECOND retainer.

MASON: i had braces too. and i had to wear those rubber bands. i hated them—they flew out of my mouth when i yawned, and we were always finding them in corners and stuff.

SHEP: hell, i found one last week!

MASON: i KNOW! i haven’t needed them in decades. i thought i threw them all away! but sometimes i’ll reach into my pocket and a little rubber band will be there. i think they just kind of materialize on my person now.

SHEP: weird stuff.

do the boys like any vidya games

MASON: yeah! fuck… i even have a minecraft youtube channel that i haven’t updated in like a million years.

CHARLIE: that’s too bad, because my roblox channel is THRIVING.

SHEP: i do a lot of crap on twitch. sometimes chuck and mason join in. we’ve all three been on a real dark souls kick lately, but no game will ever beat dwarf fortress, in my mind. 

MASON: not a whole lot of fun to watch, though.

SHEP: well, that’s your opinion.

the fellas favorite movies?

SHEP: i’ve had a soft spot for cult classics since i was a dweeby little kid watching mystery science theater in my parent’s basement. i’m a big fan of wet hot american summer.

MASON: god, so many… um! um!… i like shaun of the dead a lot.

CHARLIE: i’m sorry, but there’s only one right answer to this question, and it is a talking cat!?!

rosario: i like your name a lot! is it your given name, or did you choose it yourself?

ROSARIO: it’s not my deadname, no. i chose the name rosario after my aunt. she was amazing, and even if she wasn’t, she had a solid name, so, really, either way…

hey boyz i just woke up from a nap after spending all day watching a child. what are your opinions on midday naps and/or children

SHEP: oh, i love a good nap. kids are great, but then again, as a camp counselor i only have to hang out with them 8 weeks a year.

MASON: naps are the best. kids are too! but when i’m with them, when i’m out there camp-counseloring, i think there’s always the thought in the back of my mind that i’ll mess up, that i’ll maybe give them the wrong advice or model the wrong behavior and my mistake will color the rest of their lives forever.

SHEP: little conceited, don’t you think? half of them probably won’t remember you in a month.

MASON: little things can have an impact! people can have an impact, especially at that age.

CHARLIE: would you two shut up? i’m trying to take a nap in this sunbeam.

MASON: [sotto voce] charlie’s weird around kids.

SHEP: oh, yeah. when he has to talk to the younger campers? it’s painful to watch.

CHARLIE: [cartoon snoring noises]

Can I give you all big hugs and kisses?

CHARLIE: you can wink at me from across the room. that’s the level of physical contact i’m comfortable with. actually, no, don’t wink at me, either.

MASON: i love hugs! but don’t kiss me, though. i don’t know how i’d feel about that, from a stranger.

SHEP: you can kiss me. how hot are you?

CHARLIE: stop. stop that right now. before you get catfished again.
