De Oranje Vrouw

Mutia Hanifa Mulyono, known as De Oranje Vrouw (lit: The Orange Lady), was a notorious serial killer during the early period of 2nd Dutch military aggression (Operatie Kraai) in West Java, Indonesia. Still, there is so little information regarding her. Even the local historians are not so sure whether her full-name is right.
Despite being notorious, Mutia was regarded as a hero by the native. Her targets were high-ranking officers of Dutch army, especially those who played much role on the Renville Agreement. Col. Abdulkadir Widjojoatmodjo was one of her victim. Signature Being a serial killer, De Oranje Vrouw also possessed a unique way to exhibit her work. Her victims always found dead with the weapon of choice is none other than the victim's belonging, meaning that Mutia just waltzed in, approached her target with ease, and took out her target without alerting the immediate vicinity. Also, The Orange Lady always left an orange near her victims. Hence, the alias The Orange Lady. The orange often placed nearby the access to the victim's dead body, implying that she had been there (at the crime scene) and someone important had been already dead. Inspiration It is rumored that De Oranje Vrouw inspired many Indonesians people to keep fighting during the post-independence war. It includes one rumor which said that De Oranje Vrouw--being stealthy--inspired Indonesian army to call for a guerrilla warfare back then.
