let me just say. i love your comic. i don't want to go into detail (don't even think that i could put it into words anyway) but it hits close to home on a lot of personal things outside of gender and sexuality for me. idk. ty? like, a lot? for making this comic? makes me feel like i exist, if that makes any sense? yeah it's a wonked up story that i love but if people can relate to xmen cast members bc they're gay, it's for all sorts of reasons that i relate to your comic. ty again ;;A;;

i'm not sure if you've covered this but is whitesplaining a thing? i've had a lot of experience of white people speaking over me to define what is and isn't racism to excuse their offensive behaviors. a lot like mansplaining, but on the topic of race. i'm not sure. if this is offensive in some way i apologize. i'm trying to figure out how i could explain to whites how gross some of their attitudes and thoughts on race are.

Idk if that’s the term but I think I heard it before or it just sounds very accurate lol. Anyways yes the experience you’re describing is very common and I’ve had it happen to me such as white people telling me how poc should teach white people and they should want to teach white people how not to be racist. Lmao (We don’t talk anymore)

What you’re saying is not offensive(although you’d probably get some White Tears over it). You’re just stating your experience. 

I think the lesson I’ve learned is some white people simply don’t want to learn. They don’t actually want to face the fact that they are a problem. You need to trust yourself and weigh whether it’s worth it to tell them “Hey, you explaining to a poc what racism is and isn’t is an example of your privilege.” because you might go into a very tiresome hole of White Fragility. Some white people will want to learn though and if you have the patience, go ahead and correct them but don’t feel obligated or pressured to teach them. Remember: You’re not getting paid to put up with their nonsense or teach them what’s right on google.com .

my ex roommate 'came out' as asian, when she used a fake id with a japanese name and was called out, and competed with me everyday before then to be more asian than me (i'm half chinese adoptee). she's mexican/native american. she mocked my ex for being trans, then acted like her trying so pitifully hard to be 'korean', which again, she used a japanese name, was more important than trans issues. people supported and agreed with her. even other poc. and i. feel so betrayed and dumfounded.
