Aight so I just gotta scream into the void for a min but like. I started watching MHA bc my nephew wanted me to, and then I honest to god stopped when I got a bit spoiled with the Todoroki family stuff ie. the way all the history with the abusive head-of-family and how it pans out once everyone had Gotten Out one way or the other. Bc it sounded like it was handled in such a WIERD way. Picked it up again and was like okay. Not so bad. Also started to see why people have beef with Fuyumi but I was like she hasn't really done anything that bad? Just expressed excitement at having a family and like invited everyone over for dinner?
But then. My God. Like inviting people for family dinner is fine, yeah sure, even pushing people to reconcile okay I get it, but the whole. Giving Endeavor Shoto's number? That weird "reporting" scene? My god I GET the Fuyumi hate now. I would've hated Fuyumi if I was Shoto. And not in an oh haha fictional character way. I'm not saying Fuyumi is wrong/bad/etc. for wanting to forgive Endeavor or for wanting the family to get together. I'm saying if one of my siblings did what Fuyumi's doing I'd hate them and my mom wasn't ever driven insane enough to pour boiling water on my face. (Although I AM also saying this girl (woman?) needs to learn to respect other people's lives/boundaries/decisions/etc.)
Like damn bro. It's not even that the issue is being badly handled right now, at least as of this point none of the siblings are shown as being in the right or the wrong with their reactions and decisions, but god damn I'm gonna have to put this away again for a little bit lol.
