Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses truly felt like a nothingburger event, good grief, the Interndarshan Championship had a better story with more tension. I feel kinda bad for people who like Nahida as a character because she got barely anything in an event that's supposed to celebrate her.
Also kinda pissed the gem plotline went nowhere.
Candace being biologically related to Deshret is old, boring misinformation. Personally I like the more interesting delusion that there's a jinni somewhere back in her family tree, i.e. the gold eye(s), the emphasis on (fake) prophesying, and water powers, all of which are associated with the jinn.
Genshin can in no way convince me that Mavuika is actually a good ruler for her nation during crisis, because someone who prioritizes the "voluntary help" of a single hero (Chasca) by not awakening her early over a death toll of 1,000+ NPCs is not getting a pat on the back for good leadership. Like sorry, but at this point Liyue and Fontaine definitely had better emergency responses 500 years ago during the Cataclysm.

Kinich's tribal quest was way below par even compared to Mualani's, we barely saw him for half of it and got a bunch of half-assed answers to what the Turnfire and Ajaw are. Saw nothing about his own convictions beyond fulfilling a client's request. Booted from the archon quest and poofed away in his own character story. Oh, it is so dire for this boy.
I dropped Nu Carnival after 2 chapters, like yeah the designs are hilarious and it’s got (some) voice acting but the writing really feels like those mediocre ranma/harem fics from the ffnet era. Kinda weird how the fandom is turning so volatile when the game itself is so meh.
