I have but one question: where did the whole "Ikuko the Vampire Slayer" thing come from again? I remember it being awesome but it's origins are a mystery to me
It was an artifact of Crystal, actually! Ikuko’s VA for Crystal was also the Japanese dub voice for Buffy. When someone told me that little detail, I immediately leapt upon Ikuko the Vampire Slayer, and it rather took on a life of its own from there.
Sailor Moo Ceystal got cancelled? Don't get me wrong, I was not a fan of it and its many many faults by any means, but i would be lying if I didn't say that i was waiting to see the Mugen story arc come to life
Crystal was cancelled, yes. As for Mugen, you’re better off with Classic. Naoko had some serious issues in how she handled parts of it in the manga and I have no doubt whatsoever that Crystal would have managed to make it downright homophobic and awful.
