The Dirty South: Contemporary Art, Material Culture, and the Sonic Impulse is finishing its four-city exhibition run in its only non-Southern venue, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver, showcasing over 100 works by 60 artists and spanning generations and genres from the past 100 years.

Organized thematically, the show addresses issues of and connections to land, corporeality, and representation.

Over The Influence gallery artist Cleon Peterson will be featured in the solo exhibition ‘Shadow of Men,’ on view February 2 at MCA Denver.

Peterson’s signature bold, graphic style will be presented in murals, paintings + sculptures that will transform the museum inside + out. The exhibition squarely addresses the nature of violence at a time when the subject seems increasingly uncomfortable, yet urgent.
