Ghost of CD sales past
Listened to some of my old CDs today. These were snagged from the biannual warehouse sale MCA Universal used to have in the late 2000s up to early 2010s. Back then you could score a brand new CD, shrink wrap and all, for as low as PHP20 — "cheaper than a pack of cigarettes!" as I would excitedly point out to friends. It was a great time to be musically adventurous, and I did by buying albums of bands and artists I never heard of. Discovered a ton of great stuff that way. I remember all that now with fondness. Few things made me happier back then than being inside that room, literally surrounded by cheap CDs, oblivious to the world outside...
