"BE KIND AND PROUD"

French-born Marie-Clémentine, aka MC, Baldassari moved to Montreal to study Industrial Design but after graduating began a career in illustration. While that's where she spends most of her time Baldassari says her gallery art is where she gets to let go of everything, enjoying the exploration of new mediums and material. Also a member of the multi-artist EN MASSE collaborative, Baldassari says she "particularly enjoys the challenge that painting on wide surfaces represents." A little smaller than the 30' x 30' wall she says is her largest, "Be Kind and Proud" was created for the Under Pressure Festival ( @up_mtl ), on Rue Sainte Elizabeth in the Quartier des Spectacle, Montreal's cultural hub—not a bad sentiment on which to ring in the new year. @mcbaldassari/ @enmasseproject/
