And so I landed at McCanns, which was East Africa's biggest agency in those days.

While at McCanns I wrote this ad that was originally briefed in as a 30% price-discount offer. The ad won every award it could win at the 1998 Kenya Advertising Awards, including the Craft Award for Best Copywriter and the Grand Prix for Best-of-Show among a slew of other awards and made me famous. I’m still trying to  write the one that will make me rich.

Unidays - Spin & Win Event - A 20ft shipping container into a ‘pop-up’ ball pit and toured across key locations around the UK.  The promotion also featured a ‘spin to win’ mechanic to allow students to dive into the ball pit for a chance to win a prize. Inside the container were 45,000 coloured balls and just ONE smaller golden ball that students had one minute to find in order to win the star prize.
