HIS KNOWLEDGE WASN’T VERY VAST WHEN IT CAME TO FLOWERS --- but something about the gesture caused the whiskered jinchuuriki to exude radiance through a genuine smile. He had only caught a slight glimpse before it rested on his ear, only it’s scent filling the young nin’s senses.

NARUTO WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ALL --- but was it completely out of this world to say he was inspired by everyone everyday too? Today was one of those moments of awakening, where he just witnessed the ( coolest ) thing ever from the one and only Hinata. If she had only seen how s e n s a t i o n a l she had been --- how flawless her actions were. It could only make the excitable jinchuuriki nothing less than that, legs running up to the beautiful kunoichi with pure enthusiasm.
❝Yooooo --- Hinata-chan! Did’ya see when you punched the lights out of that guy? It was so cool dattebayo! You right jabbed like that --- then like this! Heh, I wouldn’t mess with you ya know!❞
Her statement was taken as pure modesty by the whiskered nin --- Hinata had to know how BADASS she was!

“You were the one that challenged Pein.”
Konan remembers her quite vividly: The one person brave enough to challenge Nagato to a battle that could not be won. At the time, Konan had found the woman to be foolish for attempting such an impossible feat. But she’d had time to reflect since then. And realize that she had done the very same thing for someone she loved. . For 20 years. For 20 years, she bent over backwards trying to accomplish an impossible feat for Nagato; Teach the world peace through pain.
Of course, this girl’s attempt at an impossible feat had been more fruitful. Indeed, she did not succeed in defeating Pein, but her sacrifice had ‘saved’ one she loved and in turn, he saved the day— And the enemy; Konan had been saved that day.
And it was all because of the girl in front of her. The real hero to the story.
Wordlessly, Konan extends a hand as thin slips of paper coil around it like a snake. The form a cone and, eventually, flower-buds. A bouquet. Konan poses a question she already feels she knows the answer to. “Do you recognize that you are the hero?”

He takes the scarf and looks it over. Dark eyes are curious as they look over the colors and his fingers trace over stitching. The gift is nice he determines, too nice. It makes him question the reason behind this gift.
“Why did you make me this?” What had he done to warrant this kind of gift from her? She has plenty of other people to spend her time on. As he waits for a response he decides to try it. Just because he’s asking why doesn’t mean he’s planning to give it back.
He hums in satisfaction as the fabric falls around his neck. This could be used during his travels. Pulling it off, he folds it carefully in his hands then slips it inside his satchel.
His attention returns to her, awaiting her reply.

“What is it that you think I’m pretending?” The question comes out quiet but sharp. A silent blade he’s lifting to her, ready to attack depending on her next set of words.
He rears back the anger beginning to whirl inside him. The rational part of him reaches for him, reminds him she is only trying to help. There is no ill will in her attempt to comfort him. Though his anger, always there and burning, whispers to throw away the thoughts of rationality.
So inhales, then releases a slow breath to stop the collision of his thoughts. They need to slow down along with the bubbling frustration.
He meets her gaze and speaks with restraint.
“I do not pretend. What you see is what you get.” Whether she accepts that is up to her.

HE’S TAKEN AWAY by her swiftness , how quick she is to reach up & give him affection ; finding himself following her as she breaks it to steal another kiss quickly with a smile. finally stepping back to take in her outfit ( & HOW CUTE SHE WAS , HIS HEART MELTING ) the blond turns quickly to grab his cloak ; throwing it over her shoulders before clasping it.

his mind was OCCUPIED , he barely contributed to the chatter of the konoha 11 , 10 with naruto still gone , walking down the main street . danzo had been in a bad mood this morning . lee still heard the screams of the prisoners . the fear he had seen in their heart , seconds before their end , made him almost nauseous . and then hinata poked him .
❛ of course !! a best friend i treassure , and would die to protect !! why do you ask ?? ❜ i’m such a dirty liar . . . something in him aches at the words . he did like their group , but they were acquaintances . lee had the talent to come off as an open && kind person , while also being fairly closed off . he had to . because he still remembered the hatred in the village’s eyes . now , more than ever , the young jonin tried to push everyone away . for their safety’s sake . the people he loved were in danger . lee saw the cruelety in danzo’s heart , if he stepped out of line . . .
