There was a spot on my wall for a big colourful poster, so I made one.

Welcome
指揮者の記 6.17.13
This will be the log/blog of a senior year study project on the Japanese language. Name: Jessie Age: 17 Timeline: June 2013-May 2014 I’ve studied Japanese in bits and pieces since I was around ten years old; despite this I can barely hold a fifteen second conversation about more than the weather. I can read hiragana, most katakana, and some kanji, though it’s about 10-15 at most. What to expect: Star Trek references, moaning about -te form, complaining about kanji readings, more Star Trek, and lots and lots of mistakes. My poorly translated “Commander’s Log” at the top of the entry is a prime example (of both the Star Trek and my failure). You can find the rest of my crew undertaking senior projects through the same program over at penandplot, where Captain Devin is writing a novel. Our Chief Medical Officer had a shred of sanity left and decided she actually wanted to sleep senior year. She will hopefully be cheering/cajoling from the sidelines. You can find her over at mccooy.
Thank you for sticking through this massive text post.
Jessie out.
