If you don't mind yapping, I'd LOVEEE to know how like, the overall plot moves in your DR, especially for the early seasons. Have you scripted anything in particular/any major changes to the story? What's the Zane arc like?? What's the SHADOW KNIGHT arc like?? What made you want to be a knight/guard?? ALSOOOO I'd love to hear about your dynamics with everyone!! I take the place of Aphmau in my MCD reality (because I need to be the center of attention🥰) but she seems sooooo sweet in person. How do you get along with Garroth and Laurance? Who do you visit in Phoenix Drop often?

Dw I’m never tired of yapping esp never for mcd, tbh I’m ECSTATIC that ppl are taking interest in my mcd dr!!
For the most part the plot follows the original plot of mcd with a few tweaks that still allow for key story to take place. I talk a hell of a lot more about it in these asks but they all get longer w each part lolll so I get if u don’t want to read themmm
The Zane and Shadow Knight arcs I kept pretty much the same I think?? (Tho let me preface this by saying I haven’t shifted yet)
Zane is still a pain in our butts. I will say as I’m rereading my script, I’m the one to pretend Aph is my Fiance when Zane accuses her of espionage during the baby shower and I am ALSO holding Laurance’s hand bc Cadenza just left him there and he’s blind (and she’s cackling bc she KNOWS he likes me). So Zane is like in disbelief bc “you can’t possibly be engaged you’re CLEARLY with Laurance!!” (Wrong again emo boy) Then I introduce them as my “soon to be wife and boyfriend” then call him a bigot and idk he walks off pretending like he’s not fuming (I antagonize him a lot bc how can I not. I’m here to be unhinged).
Though Zane’s presence and reputation do have a lot more weight than they do in the series bc how is NO ONE going to know ANYTHING ABOUT THE NOTORIOUS HIGH PRIEST OF O’KHASIS??? I get we’re on the other side of the continent but surely there’s rumors of him being at least a little evil???
And the shadow knight arc is also mostly the same, only that Gene isn’t pure evil and he’s starting to question the Shadow Lord even before season 1. He even kinda goes rogue for a bit while he’s having an existential crisis. He also doesn’t torture Laurance (bc that’s my man and it makes me sad to think abt 😞). He also joins the Shadow Knight rebellion (kinda late) and is a huge help bc he was literally the Shadow Lord’s right hand.
And I also I have it so Ungrth doesn’t die (I can speak to animals and I got really attached to him :,) ), he still saves Laurance from the Nether, still gets corrupted by breaking through the world barrier but we’re able to save him, only thing is we still needed a wyvern soul fragment for Irene’s blessing so I scripted that there was another wyvern that died years ago and Raven gave us her soul fragment. So just little tweaks like that.
I also scripted that Laurance is the one to adopt Malachi (since part of the reason in the series was bc Levin was supposed to look like Garroth and to feed the love triangle), he just so clearly bonded with him during Malachi’s episodes and he has such a soft spot for him it’s so cute.
And I’m more of an honorary guard than anything, Garroth simply gave me that status/title (?) so I could be called upon to protect Aphmau whenever she goes on more potentially dangerous adventures. Since he himself can’t go esp after Zane shows up and bc of the very old, dumb and inconvenient rule that O’Khasis can station their guards in a village if their Lord and/or Head Guard isn’t present. I also don’t have any formal guard training prior to this, just an orphan who grew up and learned to take care of myself. Though after the first time I accompany Aph to Scaleswind, Garroth does make sure to train me in sword fighting. Another reason is bc on that trip, I was the one to pretty much keep Aph from dying when Zenix attacked us. So I’m like a bodyguard and healer in one.
Also I didn’t finish Mystreet, and I think it was implied (or shown idk) that Aphmau sacrificed herself to defeat the shadow lord??? Maybe that was a theory I’m not sure but idk if that’s how I want it to end. I’ll probably script that we gather the Divine Warrior reincarnations, get all our relics and defeat the Shadow Lord for good. Then reincarnate for the pdh/mst timeline.
Also scripting Travis isn’t a creep bc he’s such an interesting character. I’m also not the biggest fan of him getting with Katelyn in MCD?? It just didn’t feel right imo.
Dynamics:
So since I travel with Aphmau a lot, we’re pretty much besties. Almost attached at the hip. I also enable her chaotic side a lot :) I loved her sm as a character that I decided I NEED to be besties with her and I lowk did not want the responsibilities of managing an entire village… I totally get the appeal of being mc tho!!
Garroth, I’m like his annoying little sister, I also go to him whenever I need advice or someone to lean on. He’s also the sole reason I haven’t thrown Zane into an alternate dimension. Sigh. He reminds me a lot of my older brother who went missing years ago (bro got shadow knighted :,/ I don’t find that out till years later tho), so yeah I follow him around and bother him on his patrols a lot. But he loves it dw. Garroth also knows about my massive crush on Laurance pretty early on.
Laurance my loveee, we met because of the Neapolitan Village murder mystery arc and there’s some very obvious pining on both sides (more from him lol) but we don’t get together for about 2-3 years bc of everything going on. I also scripted that season 1 events are more spread out over like 2ish years bc everything looks really close together in the series but that’s up to interpretation. He also often takes me on fun rides on Ungrth and romantic picnics even before we start dating. He also accompanies me whenever I need to go foraging for potion/spell/ritual ingredients “for protection.”
Also I can’t talk about Laurance without also talking about Cadenza. We’ve already claimed each other as a sister in law. Not even a divorce or a breakup can separate us. I visit her a lot when she’s living in Phoenix Drop, and also after the time skip when she’s Lord of Meteli.
And Katelyn. I was the first person to trust her when she was in Phoenix Drop but she doesn’t know that. We both have a very similar, blunt type of humor so we always catch onto each other’s jokes. We also learn to lean on each other more emotionally. It becomes a very caring and sisterly friendship.
I also visit Donna often, since she has her little medic station, I deliver herbs and healing potions to her and Logan, who also sells some items I provide. She’s a lot more like her Diaries Rebirth counterpart tho, so is Gene.
AND YESS I HAD ALREADY SCRIPTED I WAS A SUPER POWERFUL MAGICKS/WITCHCRAFT USER AND SHAPESHIFTER SO MIGHT AS WELL SCRIPT I WAS A DIVINE WARRIOR!! I also reincarnated just like Irene after a couple centuries. And my relic is also locked in my own pocket dimension tho it’s more like my waiting room but kinda bigger??
