I got tagged by the excellent mcflea007, the wonderful timrous-beastie and the legendary singingthroughthetrees! Yay. (Two of those people are also getting California souvenirs, which seems like a fair enough trade. Be eagerly anticipant you guys because they're très awesome.) I answered all the questions but I'm not sure I have the stamina to set any of my own, not right now, anyway. I might have some tea and then see how it goes. Anyway, here ya go, ya nosey perverts.

1. If you could play a character in any film/TV show, who would you be and would you be any good?

I'd be a fabulous James T Kirk, except that I'm not very good at accents. Hmm. I'd love to be a useless trembling walk-on underling in TToI who gets screamed at by Malcolm; that I could manage XD

2. If you had to entertain the Queen for twenty minutes, how would you do it?

I'd sing her all the Beatles songs I know.

3. How old do you wish you were?

20/21ish. Not old, but more of an adult than I am now.

4. Who’s voice would you like to narrate your life?

Either Peter Mandelson or Hugh Dennis' impression of him.

5. If a friend or colleague had their memoirs published and didn’t exactly paint you in a flattering light, would you take revenge via your own memoirs and/or a rather nasty review?

Oooh, definitely. And I'd leave them vaguely menacing voicemails beforehand so they could just sweeeaaat

Probably Japanese...

I watched a comedy called Bernie on the plane home, and it was actually pretty good. :)

I can't honestly say I believe in free will on a fundamental level. But hey, I try not to think about it.

Whenever I think about it, and I start to get the creeping feeling that objective morality is bollocks, that's my nightmare fuel.

Invisibility or flying :D Everyone says that for a damn good reason, namely those are the best powers.

Does Alastair count as a politician? If not... I would be conflicted. I might make them compete for me in some kind of tournament. Like a joust. Or a slam poetry contest.

Personal! Man. You don't really want to know that, surely? It involves large amounts of cake

11. If you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with it?

 Freak out tbh XD I'd try to talk to everyone I love, I guess. Eat fancy food. Listen to some tunes. Set up a queue.

Hmm. I guess that would depend on the novel, who had helped or inspired me. With that in mind - probably my dad? Sister? And/or girlfriend. All of whom are badass and deserve dedications in my excellent future novels.

4. What do you do/think about when you can’t sleep at night?

Space travel, food, university... mostly food.

5. Which fictional character do you most relate to, and why?

Oooh. Probably Jeremy from Pictures For Sad Children. Actually, everyone from Pictures For Sad Children. And Daisy from Spaced because she TRIES but she just ain't going anywhere, but she has some awesome people about.

6. What personality trait do you most admire in others?

Humility.

7. What is the first CD you ever bought?

I can't really remember, but of the very few CDs I own, it's probably Mika - Life In Cartoon Motion. Which came out when I was 12. Aww.

8. What form would your patronus take?

Probably a cat.

Aaaargh man I don't even know x___x Maybe something that would just dart off into the shadows and never let me get a good look at it? Things you can't see are scaaaary.

10. Which book do you think everyone in the world should read?

Star Maker and First & Last Men, both by Olaf Stapledon. Best to read them together because they feed into one another quite well. They're the ultimate in broadening your horizons, and they spit on toe rags who trivialise SF.

11. Would you rather be alone forever or stuck in a monotonous, loveless relationship?

1. If you could play a character in any film/TV show, who would you be and would you be any good?

I would play whoever Santana's next love interest in Glee is and yes, I would fucking own that show (which wouldn't be hard, considering it's a terrible show). Or I would play Harry in Harry Potter because I can think of nothing better than living my favourite story and I have already perfected many of his lines.

2. If you had to entertain the Queen for twenty minutes, how would you do it?

I would tell the shih tzu joke 200 times.

I'm pretty happy being 20, to be honest. Although I wouldn't mind redo-ing the last couple of years with the knowledge I have now.
