You walked happily along the beautiful autumn path. The leaves slowly falling off the trees in red and orange hues.
“So I think I will get garland for the staircase, but I can’t decide if I want to get something like black cats or skeletons" you chatted happily, your hand intertwined with McGees
He smiled as he listened to you chat happily about your ideas of how to decorate your house for the holiday.
“Oh! And I want to get a Halloween wreath for the front door, and maybe a door mat, plus we have to pick up more Halloween candy”
“What happened to the candy we already bought?”
“I happened” you said smiling at him
Chuckling he shook his head in amusement “You really love Halloween don’t you? Next thing I know I’ll come home from work one day and the house will be filled with fake fog”
“oooh!” you said getting an idea
“No! No fake fog! That was a joke!”
“But what about just on Halloween? That would be so cool! The kids and their parents could come in and walk through a cool foggy maze or something to get to the candy”
He laughed “I never should have mentioned it”
He sighed “Fine. But the fog can only be outside!” he said pointing at you warningly
Your smiled widened ”Deal!” you said before leaning up and kissing him, pulling away you smiled cheekily up at him “You know... I love you almost as much as I love Halloween” you said playfully
“Wow, ouch!” he said sarcastically
Laughing you pulled him closer to you, putting your head on his shoulder “I’m kidding! Besides...the only reason I’m so excited about Halloween this year is because it’s the first one we will get to spend living in the same house”
He looked down at you. He forgot about that, you two had only lived together for a few months. All the following holidays this year will be celebrated for the first time in your new house. Kissing you on the side of the head he smiled “In that case...You can put the fake fog in the house”
You gasped in happiness “Yay!” you said before kissing him briefly on the lips “Oh, it’s gonna be so fun!” you said as you started listing things you would need for the idea.
McGee smiled happily down at you, glad that you were so happy. But knowing he would regret this idea the second he would stub his toe on something in his soon to be foggy house.
