It was McHappy Day on Wednesday, and I was reminded of the fact that “local celebs” put in a shift during these events, and it brought me a lot of joy to see local politicians and personalities have to work a minimum wage job. I think that if you qualify for the Sunshine List in Ontario, you should be mandated to work at least one 8-hour shift in a minimum wage job a year. It’s important that decision makers are reminded of who really keeps their world running.
Also, TIL, McHappy Day is just a Canadian thing? I’m now wondering if charity fast food days are a Canada-specific thing, because if I think about it, I’ve not seen it anywhere else.
