While I enjoy the diversity of playstyles Mojang has been encouraging with different mobs to ride and weapons to use, I'm in a weird spot about it

For example, tridents are practically useless without enchantments, and I don't think people see it as much of a problem as it is because, unless you're in Bedrock Edition, the average player has no reason to look for it. We kind of don't care that much since we usually have enough resources in the late game to enchant it properly plus, it looks cool af

Why am I bringing tridents here? I could say that Mojang has a weird relationship with updating or fixing these sorts of issues only when people care enough — which isn't false — but it also has to do with the (Zombie) Nautilus and the Drowned

Do I think Mojang is gonna fix the trident soon? Nah. But I am slightly salty with how stronger and absurdly overpowered weapons keep being added while the same old problems remain unchanged

I'm not exactly a fan of spears, although I do appreciate it being the middle ground between FUCK IT WE BALL type of players who'll divebomb with Elytra or rush like a crackhead with Soul Speed III boots + Amplified Potion of Swiftness nd the more balanced ones who just want to ride their horses
