❖ DEVON ;; he would blink in surprise for a second, as he wasn’t expecting such a straightforward request. Then, a kind smile immediately appears on his face. “Is this your way of trying to distract me from work?” he would tease a little, opening his arms anyway. Devon’s hugs are warm and reassuring, the kind that instantly makes you feel safe. He naturally wraps you close against his chest, one hand gently rubbing circles on your back while the other keeps you securely against him. Despite his responsibility as a boss, moments like these allow him to disconnect and let out a softer and more genuine side of him. “Feeling better? Wanna leave earlier?” he’d ask in a mumble. No matter how busy he is, Devon would always make time for you if you needed comfort.
❖ ROY ;; “sure,” there wouldn’t be any hesitation in his answer. Roy would put aside whatever he was doing and pull you into a calm, safe embrace. His hugs are incredibly comfortable; strong arms surrounding you while his natural warmth help you relax almost immediately. If you seem upset, he might suggest going for a walk together afterward or invite you to one of his work-out sessions so you can relax. “We can be like this as much as you need,” he murmurs, gently stroking your back. Physical comfort comes naturally to him when it comes to people he deeply cares about, so he can spend all the time you need hugging you for as long as you feel better. He’s fond of giving hugs as a greeting too.
❖ THOMAS ;; at first, he would stare at you as if you had just asked him something weird or impossible to answer. He looks around the office, “a hug? Right now?” he would clearly be caught off guard. He doesn’t really dislike affection, even if it makes him uncomfortable to think about starting it. But he knows that at the end of the day, it feels quite nice. After a few seconds of awkward silence and some obvious internal debate, he’d reluctantly open his arms. Once you’re hugging him, however, Thomas doesn’t pull immediately away. His embrace is stiff at first, but gradually relaxes as he gets used to your presence. He enjoys the closeness far more than he would ever admit. “I guess it’s right that… physical contact does have proven benefits regarding stress reduction,” he’d mutter, ears slightly red. If you or someone else teases him about it later, expect him to deny everything and get slightly mad (embarrassed mainly).
❖ AMANDA ;; “what happened?” would be her immediate reaction. Amanda is observant and protective toward the people she loves, so she would notice if something was bothering you. Once she realizes you simply need affection, she would hug you without hesitation. Amanda’s hugs are firm but soft at the same time, caressing your hair and reassuring you that whatever problem you’re facing, you’re not alone. “Take things easy. If you ever need help, I’m here,” she reassures you. Amanda has a very nurturing side that only few people get to see. Her perfume is just as sweet as the whole embrace, which also adds a point towards success on comforting you.
❖ JASON ;; he would raise an eyebrow, a smug grin immediately forming on his lips. “So you really do want my attention, huh,” naturally, he’d tease you for this and before giving you what you asked for. Jason enjoys seeing you flustered a lot. Still, beneath all the arrogance and provocations, he wouldn’t exactly refuse. The moment he pulls you into his arms, his attitude softens a little bit. His hugs are strange, they feel possessive since he keeps you close as if he doesn’t intend to let go anytime soon. “You missed me, didn’t you?” he’d whisper teasingly against your hair. Even if he keeps joking, Jason is surprisingly attentive during moments like these, quickly noticing if something is genuinely wrong. And if someone is responsible for upsetting you… well, they should probably start worrying.
