1.8 update/reset news!
I'm Just doing this to fill in a few blanks and answer any FAQ's.
So first things first. Some of you are confused about the new ranks. We have worked very hard to fix the issues and I believe this has been resolved. With the ranking up however we are still ironing out a few creases to ensure the ranking up system will be great when we launch it so please sit tight and enjoy your new titles.
About half of the biome warps are open, but players are beginning to build towns in places so that is also a good place to be starting off a house in. As soon as biome warps are set up we will put up a notification of it in the forums (maybe on here if enough has changed since this post.)
I hope you enjoy the updated metaverse with all of its 1.8.1 features!
One final note on this, some of the plugins are experiencing a few creases and clashes. Please report anything that won't work to a staff member. We are working very hard to fix any of these small issues.
For the time being, we will ONLY be operating the Metaverse, and we will not be making many changes in these very volatile times. We are entering Survival Mode, keeping our heads low and trying to ensure our own future.
We are asking the community for donations of any size to help cover server costs for the foreseeable future. We have not been able to turn a profit in a while, and now everything is being put on hold by the Minecraft shenanigans. If you cannot donate do not feel bad, you can still support us by keeping our servers lively and fun!
All donations over $3 will get a free McMetaverse Wristband! Some of these FAQ's are to benefit both new and old players.
FAQ
Q: How do I make a shop? A: You build your shop and set it up with Chest shops (ask another player, admin or mod to help you with this) Once you have done this if you want it in the /shop menu, Stand in front of your shop and type /submit. Follow the instructions it gives you and we will add it in shortly. Opening a shop is free but having it in /shop will cost you $8000.
Q: Where can I build? A: Anywhere that is unclaimed but please walk about 1000 blocks away from the edge of spawn and 20 blocks from another claim. Be considerate of towns and other players houses, You can claim using your golden claim shovel.
Q: Can I change my username? A: You are free to do whatever you wish, We have had success with this process but you may want to still take some screenshots of your inv beforehand and such in case the worst happens, As Pro said, cover all your bases.
Q: Will we be advertising for more players? A: We are currently advertising for new players as you may have noticed. Please be helpful and pleasant :)
Q: Do you need more staff to help out? A: No more than usual, but we would like to see a few applications. Feel free to apply for any position that interests you.
