We went MCM Liverpool today! Not sure anyone knows who we went as, but for reference it was Jeffrey Comb’s Animated Scarecrow and Snake Plesskin from Escape from LA. Sadly I forgot most of the whimsy he came out with today, so you get this one for now: “I’m gonna make tinned spaghetti in the shape of sperm. It’s gonna be called Testosteroni”. Special thanks to a special person for the photo. <3

'PANDORICA director and stars to host Q&As at Liverpool and Birmingham Comic Cons'

The writer and director of sci-fi adventure film PANDORICA Tom Paton will be joined by the film’s stars Jade Holby, Marc Zammit, Adam Bond and Bentley Kalu at March’s MCM Liverpool and Birmingham Comic Cons.

As well as a premiering the first 15 minutes of the film, the Saturday of Liverpool Comic Con and the Sunday of Birmingham will host a Q&A with the director and cast on the making of the movie. One of PANDORICA‘s villains dressed in full cosplay will also be attending the events as a special guest with Area 51, showcasing props used in the film. Arrive early to be the first to get exclusive badges and posters signed by the cast.

The PANDORICA cast confirmed to be appearing are:

Nine (played by Bentley Kalu) Star of Hollywood blockbusters like AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and EDGE OF TOMORROW, as well as an acclaimed videogame voice over artist. Bentley clocks in at six foot six of pure awesome and is sure to be a real fan favourite.

Eiren (Jade Hobday) Internationally well known model, here in her first acting role. She is also set to appear in the new DEATH RACE film, shooting later this year.

Thade (played by Adam Bond) A rising star, Adam plays the man himself in CNN’s FINDING JESUS, as well as appearing in KICK ASS 2.

Ares (played by Marc Zammit) Star of smash hit web series KOSMOS and award-winning movie THE JOURNEY and a wonderful addition to any panel

PANDORICA Synopsis: An unknown event causes massive global changes, forcing people to return to a simpler way of life. PANDORICA follows the leadership trials of the Varosha Tribe with Eiren, Ares and Thade all in line to lead the next generation of their colony. The three journey away from the safety of their home towards a remote forest and current leader Nus – who will choose his successor by trial. But when the trio’s trial is interrupted by the arrival of another tribe, their courage, friendship and loyalty will be tested in conditions far more dangerous than they could ever have expected.

MCM Comic Con: brand expands further with Liverpool debut, March 2016

If there weren’t plenty of opportunities to get your nerd on around the UK with the highly successful +MCM Comic Con brand, they are adding to their already overflowing 2016 calendar with a new event, signalling their first appearance in Liverpool, next March.

Held at the city’s shiny new +Exhibition Centre Liverpool, found on the Waterfront, the weekend-long LIVERPOOL COMIC CON will see MCM bringing their trademark stellar line-up of special guest celebrities, vendors, cosplayers and comic book creators to the town. No word yet on who will be appearing but, seeing as the Birmingham event held last weekend had Liv Tyler, Lee Majors and personal crush Dina Meyer in attendance, it’s bound to be a pretty incredible line-up. (Trust me, you have no idea how pissed off I am at missing the Brum event. Dizzy Flores herself, man. Grrrrrrrrr!)

The new year will see MCM Comic Con come to Liverpool for the very first time – a weekend of geeky goodness brought to you by the people behind award-winning pop culture events such as MCM London Comic Con, the largest show of its kind in Europe.

MCM Liverpool Comic Con debuts on 12-13 March 2016 at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, the brand new, state-of-the-art exhibition centre located on Liverpool’s Waterfront. The two-day festival will play host to everything from sci-fi shows, comic creators and eSports to anime, manga and cosplay …not to mention a stunning line-up of special guests!
