Business Cards

The business cards arrived today they were made by me the other day with clear input from the group at our last meeting. These include our group name, group Instagram, twitter, and facebook accounts as well as our individual Instagram accounts. This is so we can look more like a professional group. We’ll have our own individual business cards too but having one for everyone as well will should us to be more of a team. These will also be good to give out around comic con so we can direct people to our table who might not have seen it otherwise. I also have the idea of using these as raffle tickets. If we pass them out and they come to our table they get one free ticket for a raffle of some of our work.

Group meeting 10-04-18 (Daina was at the group meeting but left before we remembered to take a picture, so I edited her into the center of the table)

It’s after Easter, did everyone meet their goals?

Dawn - Goals met, pages 1-5 lined, pages 2-5 coloured and shaded

Toni - Sketches for 24 pages done, 6 inked and 4 coloured. Cover also complete 

Millie - Finished 8 pages, started sketching one, made cover designs and title

Daina - Finished 8 pages and inked 4. Done a cover design and extra bits for comic

Shirley - Sketched 20 pages out of 25, inked 8 pages, completed one fully toned page

These are for our MCM table. They’ll be used to display our work so that we can attach things to it while still being able to see thru it. 

Overall these were £7.35 each when split between 5 people

Group Meeting 24/01/18

We discussed the social media accounts we’ve created and made sure everyone had the login deals for them. We have an Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for our group, Riveting Ink. We did this so we could all figure out which days everyone individually wanted to post work. These are the days:

Monday: Shirley 

Tuesday: Daina 

Wednesday: Meetings 

Thursday: Dawn 

Friday: Millie 

Saturday: Toni 

Sunday: day off

We then posted this information on our 3 social media platforms including images of our work so people can identify us, making sure to sign off each post with our name so people can see who’s posted. I posted one on Instagram.

We also discussed:

Getting a Banner for MCM We’ve decided that once we send off our work to print we’ll also send off for a banner to have behind us. This will make our table look much more professional and make it clear who and where we are.

Shared till during comic con The shared till will make it easier for all of us to keep track of the money we have instead of having 5 individual money boxes that could easily be lost/stolen.  It’ll also make it easier when it comes to having change for customer’s purchases since we won’t have to borrow money from each other because it’ll all be in one place. One of the issues with this will be that we’ll have to keep track of what sells during the day and how much that will go into the money pot. As long as we keep track of this though there shouldn’t be any issue since that is something we would need to do even if we weren’t using a group till.

Ordered a spotted headband like Rosie the Riveter As an extra design choice for the day I’ve personally ordered red spotted headbands similar to Rosie the Riveter. I think wearing these on the day of the comic con will show the unity of our team making it more recognisable and professional.
