In other news I think I've figured out why I like the idea of humiliating Mcqueen so much.
I mean, obviously there's the fact that I have some pseudomemories and a vague impression of wanting to run against her and beat her and be better than her in general.
But!
More than that!
So much of her character is based around her desire to live up to the Mejiro name. We hardly ever see her run just because she personally wants to. It's always about the family's honor. That reputation is everything to her, and the pressure it puts her under...
The only other motivation she expresses is the desire to show Teio her back, and give her something to chase. The pressure she must feel has gotta be a nightmare.
So...
Take it away. Take away the pressure to be perfect, and take away the perfection itself. Let her be messy, let her be flustered, let her be a little gross. Give her the chance to shed that weight and see what happens. Allow her to rebound from that pressure so hard she starts doing the most debauched stuff you could imagine. Humiliate her so she can see that even if she embarrassed herself to you, it wasn't the end of the world.
I want to see her relax. Properly.
