Release of the Day: MCRACKINS -Ā āWhat Came Firstā - Vancouverās premier silly pop-punk export has a discography that would give any collector an absolute headache (labor of love, I mean, yea). Forget all of those Revelation Records experts... try obtaining all of the McRackins titles, which number more than 70, across 30 something labels... woof. Iām still here for all of the egg puns. Itās been 11 years since their last full-length, maybe the yolk has finally dried out. I think Iām past the point of making too many distinctions between their various recordings, but 1995ā²sĀ āWhat Came Firstā was my introduction to the group (through a mailorder mix-up, a not all that rare occurrence), this one sat nicely in my nascent punk collection between the mega-melodies of Sicko and the more adventurous songwriting of Doc Hopper, and well, stupider than both. Sometimes ya just gotta embrace the stupid.
