          it’s been quite some time since he’s ventured into this neighborhood -- since he even thought of paying this family a visit. it’s for business this time around, rather than PLEASURE. he doesn’t have his husband nor young daughter in tow, but a sense of unease. it’s around seven p.m. when he leans against the door frame, a hand raising. one knock from his knuckle echoes so quietly; then another ( he’s never been quite patient ) follows. when the door opens, nuka offers her one of his lopsided grins. ❝ ‘ey, mama, ❞ he straightens, hands in his pockets. ❝ does your husband happen to be ‘round ? ‘m afraid there’s some -- business, we need to take care of. ❞

         blown-out   pupils centering wide,   blissful   eyes widen as the queen introduced as   violet   takes the stage.   the performance is flawless, exaggerated, hilarious ―   perfect,   in brandy’s eyes.   &   she has seen enough drag shows to be considered an   expert.   the end of the song cues an ovation from the   queen supreme   herself, mounting stilettos to applaud the performer enthusiastically.   ❝ encore, encore!! ❞  the model shouts, a   euphoric   expression on the elaborately made-up face rivaling many of the performers’.   as the drag queen exits the stage, brandy excuses herself from her roommates she arrived with,   insistent   on complimenting the entertainer’s thoroughly   entrancing   performance.   ❝ you are   so   talented.   teach me to be you!! ❞   brandy comments as she arrives within hearing range of violet, delicate fingers grazing the dancer’s arm.
