Today is MDAD - the Micronational Day Against Discrimination. It seems that the day no longer exists in most micronations but Tsurasia is very proud to celebrate this day and actively works against discrimination of any kind.
Below is some info on MDAD and a list of MDAD standards:
This day celebrates the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech. It is a day to meant to point out the negative effects of discrimination and encourage equal rights.
Ban on unfair ethnic/linguistic/cultural discrimination and inhumane treatment Right of freedom of religion, providing its practice does not threaten security or promote discrimination. Substantial safeguards to protect minorities from discrimination Fair and humane treatment of LGBT minorities (this need not include adoption of extra legislation, such as same-sex marriage or same-sex adoption) Social minorities, such as the elderly, the disabled, etc., be given sufficient support by the government Government penalties for groups that reject people by unfair discrimination
