lyon cannot compete with a petrostate. no way in hell could they pay 222m for neymar and 180m. lyon are not amiens, but they *are* disadvantaged. maybe after the stadium is paid off they can spend a bit more, but still. and secondly, aulas 100% made lyon the club it is today, so hating him rlly doesn't make sense

ANYWAY. jean michel aulas did a lot for olympique lyonnais unfortunately nowadays he’s not doing much of anything bc he continues to employ bruno genesio as a coach when he continues to do the bare minimum of get them qualified for the ucl. but i guess for some lyon fans, mediocrity is okay idk the ones i know don’t think that’s enough.
