Things that still amaze me 12 years later of this episode.
I know that the original intention about Dean staring at Cas when he finds him in front of him, was to do a bit about how clueless Castiel seems to be about the function of a cellphone. But why add the staring “straight” into the each other eyes?
The way and timing Dean saying RIGHT, just as he is apparently lost in Cas´s blues. Like the episode wasn’t titled, and at least at first about Valentine’s, couples and all about finding the Right One when it comes about love.
I suppose those first ones can be blame to Jensen’s “acting choices”?
But then, the next scene after Dean says that line, Cas holds a literal human heart on his hands, and takes his time to contemplate it. Coincidence, I presume. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In another occasion I will explain my theory about Cas getting infatuated by Dean only when he get to be a human in season 9. Because it was only then when he could understand and identify all about the romantic love. Against Dean already having many “feelings” about Cas ever since he had bits and pieces of memories about his own rescue from hell. Feelings that he fought hard to fade, because the pain of watching Cas die so many times. But mostly because of his constant disbelief of being worthy of the love of a celestial.
